Alison Doody
Alison Doody is an Irish actress and model. Born on 11th November 1966. She made her debut in the Bond film, A View to a Kill in the year 1985. She starred in 1989 as Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Donevan in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) are other roles. Doody was invited by a photographer, and began to model. Doody then began to build an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody strictly avoided glamour, nudity and thongs when she was modeling. When she came to the director's attention in a James Bond film, Doody accepted a minor role for a small part in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody's first leading role came in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. In 1988, she starred with Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most recognizable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody was in the film alongside Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody was a part of Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. When she moved to Hollywood Doody made her a star. The role she played was Flannery as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody was away from acting for almost 10 years, came back 2003 to take on a tiny part on The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character as a character at an award ceremony. Doody was a co-star with Patrick Swayze in a 2004 film adaptation for television of King Solomon's Mines and also starred in a short called Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet about the Holocaust and also in the British TV series Waking the Dead (in a two-part series called. in 2010 Doody shot a part in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). In the following year, she was a guest in the RTE the medical drama The Clinic. She was also set to play the lead role in the remake of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. Her first two seasons of Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014).
